VCT Game Changers APAC 2022 Series: Full schedule and complete list of events
The new season begins on February 26.
Riot Games’ premier women’s Valorant circuit is back with the VCT Game Changers APAC 2022 Series.
Indonesian Valorant squadAlter Ego Celestèwas last year’s Game Changers SEA Elite tournament winners after they defeated all-Thai team MAD Army, 3-1, in the grand final. They won a total of US$10,000 and are the team to watch out for in the upcoming season.
The new VCT Game Changers APAC 2022 series
Riot Games’ Game Changers tournament series aims to create new opportunities for women and other marginalized genders within the Valorant esports ecosystem.
In collaboration withFSL, this year’s series will consist of four stages, with a total of US$60,000 up for grabs throughout the year.
VCT Game Changers APAC 2022 series overview
The VCT Game Changers APAC Open will host four tournaments that feature 64 teams competing to see which top three teams will qualify for the APAC Elite stage. Each open tournament will have a US$5,000 prize pool and point pool.
VCT Game Changers APAC Overtime will host the eight teams that finished in 4th to 11th place in the previous open and give them another chance to qualify for the APAC Elite tournament.
The VCT Game Changers Elite tournament is the grand final stage of the APAC 2022 series. The final eight qualified teams will compete for a US$35,000 prize pool. The winning team will also be invited to Riot Games’ global Game Changers tournament later in the year.
