Wild Rift esports will tailor to pro and amateur scenes in Southeast Asia

Riot Games Southeast Asia (SEA) revealed its 2021 plans forLeague of Legends: Wild Rift, which will cater to both the amateur and professional scenes, and regional and international events.
Wild Rift Esports begins in the first quarter of 2021. Smaller, local competitions will be held from January to March to welcome new and veteran talent. By April, eight location-specific tournament circuits will be held to crown local champions, who will then advance to compete against each other at the international level.
Riot has partnered with both professional esports partners and collegiate partners to introduce students to the esports scene, and offer opportunities to future generations of athletes.
The appointed partners that will work in close support with Riot Games Southeast Asia to roll out the official Wild Rift esports and collegiate tournaments are:

Chris Tran, Head of Esports at Riot Games Southeast Area, Taiwan and Hong Kong said that this is only the beginning for their plans for the SEA region.

We’re looking forward to delivering memorable experiences alongside the region’s top esports organizations over the course of the year.”
