You can now get a pair of awesome Gundam sneakers
Get ready to pilot these shoes.
Just in time to celebrate Mobile Suit Gundam’s 40th broadcast anniversary are these official Gundam sneakers made by Chinese shoe company 361°.
Based on the designs, the best bang for your buck will be the sneaker modeled afterthe RX-78-2, which comes with a flashy box of other Gundam goodies. The RX-78-2-inspired shoes arecurrently priced at 500 Chinese yuan(US$72).
From the looks of it, the sneakers adapt the look of Amuro Ray’s mecha fairly well. It captures the sleek design with its overall white mesh with hints of blue and red coloring.
The shoe also features a design that mimic the eyes of the Gundam. The addition of the golden shield crest on the tongue and the “RX-78-2” on the heel tag complete the look of the retro-style shoe.

The collaboration is still ongoing, and will feature other designs based on the RX-78-2 as well as new designs inspired by the MS-06 Zaku II.
